Project Co-ordinator

Culpeper Community Garden is seeking a kind, enthusiastic, reliable and organised person to deliver a programme of supported activities for people experiencing poor mental health. This will initially involve working 14hrs a week part time on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons.

A key part of the role will be developing all aspects of a new support programme aimed at an existing group of people who have learning difficulties and would welcome more support with their wellbeing. Your role will range from directly leading activities to facilitating others through to the deployment of volunteers and peer leaders. As the year progresses you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and work with partners and funders to develop our work in this area. You will also be working with another group of people, mainly women, who like art and who are referred from Islington Mind’s Reablement Service.

We are looking for someone who can take full responsibility for the success of this area of our work to ensure that it continues beyond the period of funding kindly provided by the Garfield Weston Foundation.

This work is 14 hours paid time per week (on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons ) at £16 per hour. Pro Rata holiday entitlement is 14 days per year.

We currently have funding to deliver the work over 52 weeks, and anticipate that the successful candidate will be active in getting the funding extended.

You will be someone with skills, capacities and experience in the following areas:

 

  • Working with vulnerable adults (DBS required)
  • Co-producing activities and opportunities including gardening, arts, crafts and wellbeing
  • Fundraising and developing projects with colleagues
  • Showing flexibility and initiative in their work
  • An interest in gardening and community gardens
