Wanted: Project Worker (garden cookery)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, kind, reliable and organised person to run an exciting new project funded by the National Lottery.
The role will involve designing, promoting, deivering, monitoring and fundraising for a garden cookery project aimed at vulnerable adults, especially those experiencing mental-ill health. People will grow food, learn about staying healthy, and cook.
Our hope is to find someone who can take full responsibility for the success of the project and ensure that it continues beyond the period of funding we have for it.
We currently have funding to deliver the work over 52 weeks (On Mondays) and can offer 5 hours paid time per week at £16 per hour.
We specifically are looking for someone with skills, capacities and experience in the following areas:
- Working with vulnerable adults
- cookery and food growing
- Fundraising and developing projects
- Self organising in a community setting
- Flexible and able to contribute to the running of a community garden.
